![]() Then there is Winterland, Great American Music Hall, the Greek Theater, Frost Amphitheater, Henry J. After that I would go to the Acid Test at the Fillmore, which is akin to this Veneta show. Of course, I enjoy listening to East Coast shows, but if I could be transported back in time Veneta would be one of my first stops. Even some of those shows that are deemed "too mellow" by East Coast crew are absolutely relevant to me. ![]() ![]() When I listen to the these GD shows on the archive I try to imagine what the surrounding environment (the venue, audience, GD band members, historical significance) was like at that time.įor me, I prefer West Coast shows. Not only is the quality of the music exceptional, but the overall environment would have been so high. The reason why this is show is so exceptional is because so many Heads lived/live in Eugene, as well as SF and Santa Cruz. When the Dead were not on tour where did many of the core Dead Heads go? Thanks to the archive it’s here for all to experience
